You may have turned alot of people off to this wonderful bourbon with such a negative first review. I saw alot of people say, "Well I'm glad I passed on that one."

I call them as I see them. The problem I see is that 3-4 others that had the same reaction... We all have different tastes..
I am glad yours bottle agree with you... Call them as you see them... And we will have a full body of reviews to choose from.

Maybe not as deep as last years with its layer of rich fuit flavors, but it is still very good with lots of spice and wood tones and a hint of apple fruit on the end of the finish that I rather like.

there is always variation withina botteling line... I did not get green apples, but sour apples in Don's and strong at that.
I am glad your bottle is better... I may have to stop by one day and pour a sip or two...
bourbonv wrote:Sorry Em, but I have had samples from about six different bottles now and they all lead me to believe you had samples that were not right in some way - either contaminated in the bottling process or in the sample bottle sent you. As a matter of fact I am beginning to like this bourbon even more. It does benefit from breathing and I think it is best drunk in a brandy sifter with lots of air space for the bourbon. Someone said it was a "one dimensional bourbon" but boy are they wrong. A little breathing time makes this bourbon open up and unveils layers of complexity. Who ever said that did not spend enough time with this bourbon.
