Just a further note that I substantially agree with Mike in his comments although I do enjoy this whiskey from time to time on the rocks and (increasingly) with bitters.
B-F makes fine bourbons and I think it needs to re-focus on the palate of JD. It must be difficult to calibrate the palate of an item made in the quantities JD is. Still, a fresh look at JD might be taken or at least its premium end (JDSB and Gentleman Jack).
