I have really takin' a likin' to Eagle Rare 10 SB. Is this available all the time or just here and again :?: Do I need to stock up while I can or just get it when I want it :?:

I don't think that the Single Barrel version is a limited one year release. Same with the 101 proof 10 year old. The 17yo should be the only yearly released eagle rare. BTW, I too like the 10yo single barrel as well and think it is a great bourbon at a respectable price.

The Eagle Rare Single Barrel 10-year-old is a brand Buffalo Trace is hoping they can run with, in competition against Maker's Mark, Knob Creek and Woodford Reserve. There are no supply issues and it should continue to be readily available and expanding its availability.

I gave my Dad a bottle of this for his birthday last week. He had never tried it, and, based on his known bourbon consumption preferences (even if one of them is mixing frequently with diet Sprite), I predicted he would like it a lot. We are visiting him tomorrow, so I'm anxious for his review.

I like ER 10 SB AND ER 101 a lot, and would stock up on either, regardless of foreseeable supply!

Glen, as with any single barrel you fall in love with, you need to note the barrel number and search those bottles out. Usually the store you bought it from will have whatever is left of a case or two. All of which most likely will be from the same barrel.

It's good to be lucky, and I feel that you are a lucky guy. Buy with confidance.

If the ABC stores in Virginia have it on the shelves, I can't imagine supply problems. Anything rare or hard-to-get (with the exception of AAA 10yo), you won't see in VA.

That's the one thing about ER 10 SB that annoys me.
There is no information about barrel no. or anything else for that matter, that would enable you to tell bottles apart. :banghead:
Beats me, why you would release a SB and hide that sort of information

D'OH! That's right, Thomas, I had forgotten about that little detail. Oh well if you buy a bottle that you at least sample right away and you find yourself in love  then a trip back to that same store to buy some more is still a reasonable thing to do.
