There are a lot of Beam decanters from the 60's and 70's out there, They generally sell for 10-20 dollars as there are a lot of them. The whiskey inside is usually decent. Hope that helps.

Newbie here guys/gals. I was asked by my wife's grandmother if I could find any information on a bottle of Brown Forman Distillers "John Duke Wayne" The Presidents Choice 118.1 proof from barrel lot #A393430 Kentucky whiskey. This bottle was obtained in the late 1970's (76-78) and is still sealed as the pictures show.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hey cjc, welcome aboard. In the current market values are very hard to establish with any degree of accuracy. I would contact one of the auction houses that deal in spirits because they have in interest in keeping track of such things.

Unfortunately it is illegal in every jurisdiction in this Country for any unlicensed person (you and me) to sell a bottle of whisky, or even wine or beer for that matter. Sales can only be conducted by licensed vendors (including auction houses which are properly licensed) and all sales must be done in the regular course of business.

I found a bottle of Old Fitz in the basement. It's a half gallon, 100 proof, 1966/1972 Stitzell-Weller. The bottle, labels, stamp are absolutely MINT. Mint means flawless in every way. The fill is also excellent, it's full. Maybe Juniors last batch? Unfortunately I'm a beer drinker..
If you'd like some pics or talk about it please contact me jimrody@wi.rr.com.
Thank you,
Jim

Hi, I recently came into some very old bottles of whiskey / bourbon. I know quite a few of them are worth some money but I am having a tough time understanding where I can sell them (privately or otherwise). I have the following that I'd be willing to part ways with if anyone can guide me in the right direction (I understand eBay is off limits - sort of?). Anyway I'm not a collector or bourbon enthusiast but it looks like I'm in the right place to find some help!
All of the following are sealed with stamp tax labels. Any input on value and where I can sell them is much appreciated!

2 bottles Crown Royal (1958 and 1960) both with box and bag
Virginia Gentleman 1 qt 90 proof (I think 1952)
Old Forester 3/4 qt distilled spring 1953 / bottled 1958 100 proof
I.W. Harper Gold Medal 3/4 qt 86 proof (unsure of year)
Also have very old Canadian Club (1964 and 1979), Seagram's VO (1958), and (I believe) a 1978 Jack Daniel's no 7 90 proof

danielle.abbott@sbcglobal.net
I have pictures of these if needed. All are full or mostly full. All were stored in a dark cabinet.
Thanks in advance for any advice!

It is illegal for unlicensed individuals to sell any alcoholic beverage (even beer) so the best option is an auction house. They can also set the minimum price.

Hi everyone,

I have a bottle of Jim Beam from 2005. It is an 89th Indy 500 Series, Bryan Herta #7. It says it is a 2005 Collectors Series #4 of 4.

Does it have any value?

Thank you, Jamie. :D

My friend has a pint bottle of Hannisville Bottled in Bond Pure Rye Whiskey. It was distilled and bottled by The Hannis Distilling Co. Baltimore Maryland in 1914 and bottled in 1927. It appears to be in good shape. The volume looks good and it is not cloudy. Any ideas concerning value?
