This one is so brief I hesitste to copy it here. The brand's history is much richer than what I have but then remember, I was just keeping track of things in the archive for future use.

(Liquor Store Magazine, 2/70).

1860 - Alexander Walker opens a branch in London (Liquor Store

1899 - Alexander Walker dies. His sons take over the business
and found John Walker and Sons (Liquor Store Magazine,

1908 - Artist Tom Brown draws the "Striding Man" figure for
Johnnie Walker (Liquor Store Magazine, 2/70).

1966 - Johnnie Walker Red and Black labels are being imported

I am not really a Scotch lover. A couple of years ago, my friend who drinks Johnnie Walker Black took me to the World Series at Yankee Stadium. For a gift, I bought him a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label, which sells for $80 /bottle. PS..he hated it and gave it back to me. Hey, I'm not wasting an $80 bottle. This stuff is GOOD..really Good. It doesn't have that overpowering smokey Scotch taste. It is subtle and extremely complex. I'm still a Bourbon man but would never turn this stuff down. Give it a try.

No offense, but I've tried scotch many times, many ways to try and find something I like about it, but it STILL tastes like furniture polish!
