Joe, I bought a bottle on the basis of your review. I paid $79 for the bottle......... there were only a few on the shelves so I knew I had best go ahead and get one. I agree with your review. I read somewhere that it is 7 years old. I cut my sip to about 100 proof. It is itself......... full flavored, spicy, quite thick and rich, with, as you noted a very nice balance. Thiis bourbon has a lead flavor that I cannot recall encountering before. It is definitely owing to the barrel and is loaded with oak and vanilla and rich burnt brown sugar, both of which play off nicely against the spices - cinnamon red hots, nutmeg, ginger, and allspice. First rate stuff!
