What's the best time of year to take the Kentucky Bourbon Trail? I want to take my dad on it this year and was wondering if there was a "best" time to do so.
Thanks,
RG

September is always a great time, which includes the Bourbon Festival. Weather is usually very nice.

Perfect. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to get the old fart to pay for the The Great Kentucky Bourbon Tasting & Gala dinner.
Thanks,

I would skip the gala and spend the evenings in the gazebo at the General Nelson. The selection of bourbon is vastly superior and the dress code is not as stringent.

Even better, keep the suggestions coming. We have been contemplating this for years. Hope this is the year.
Thanks for all your help,

Make sure to come to frankfort to visit buffalo trace! It's not part of the "trail" but it is the best IMHO!
