Rock hills farm question

Unread postby Carddoug123 » Tue Jun 05, 2012 11:10 pm

Hey everyone..... I joined awhile back ago under the name carddoug.... But couldn't remember my password, so I created a brand new account lol.

My favorite bourbon is rock hills farm.... I was doing some reseash on special bottling of it and only found the kris comstock series bottle. Does anyone know if there is a difference between this and just the regular line of rock hills? Or is it the same just a different label? Thanks!

There are at least two bottle-styles that I'm aware of.

This was a special run sold exclusively through Shopper's Vineyard I believe. According to them it was the first of the Kris Comstock single barrel releases they were going to offer and only 200 bottles were bottled. They also said it sold out in 3 days. There next offering was Ridgemont 1792 but I'm not sure if this is current or if these are all gone as well.

Cheers,

I recently brought in the Rock Hill with the horses on the bottle. It is an 8yr bourbon with a higher rye content. I've had it in the store for about two weeks now and it is moving well. Started out with three bottles and just reordered a six pack. Haven't tried it yet.

Yeah... I emailed kris about it and he said he just hand picked a barrel for a friend of his (I guess the owner of the website) no special aging on it just hand selected.
