I second the Knob Creek recommendation, and it's in the $20-25 price range. Really unbeatable for the money; it's also one year older than Basil, at nine years, and 100 proof.

If you like the Basil Hayden flavor profile, though, you might like a bottle of Old Grand-Dad Bottled In Bond. It's the same mashbill as Basil (higher rye content than the standard Beam mashbill used for all their other bourbons), aged a minimum of four years (no age statement, so it could be older but likely it's not), and also 100 proof. Most places have it for less than $20.
