Beam is big because it is good!, I'm sipping some Beam black label, and enjoyed a couple of Knob Creek's on a recent vacation. White is fine in the price range and is best served with 7up or Coke. Mom taught me to use Beam white in whiskey sours many years ago.

If Beam was as good as you say, it wouldn't need the coke.

It's hard to fault big number one. Its nice bourbon at a fair price, and you won't cringe when your friends wife dumps it in coke!

There are many better tasting bourbons at a lower price. Weller, Four Roses, Old Forester, to name a few.

Can't get Old Forester or Weller up here.I like Four Roses Yellow Label, but,it's almost $3 more for a 750...Beam is simply a better deal...

That's one of those, "taste is relative" things... I like JB Black, but some of my friends don't. Haven't tried the white label yet...as someone pointed out earlier, there are good bourbons in the same or lower price range...

have you tried beam bonded? Apparently its not a mix of 2 distillers.

Is white light because of its age or because its forumala 12?

I tried white in a vinatge and man there was this pine dust coming out my nose and mouth.
