You said it all when you said :"there are others out there just as good for $3-4 bucks less". Thats 20-25% less. Sorry, but I do not see why they command a premium, other than they need the money to pay for so-called "celebrity" endorsements. Other than that, great review Birdo!

I'm gonna keep it at 3/4 full just to have it in the collection, but I'm not gonna buy more. It's a sharp looking bottle and label tho!

Right now, I'm collecting around 15 bottles from mid-grade and better. I'll drink a few shots out of each, and then hang on to them for company and such.. After that, I'm getting 1.75 liter bottles of stuff I drink regularly.

The relative value of bourbon depends on how much you actually paid for it. The Megadiscount Liquor Store in Homestead, FL had JBB 1.75 L for $25.97. There are other bourbons I might prefer but they were not on sale for anywhere near that price.

I would luv a bottle of JBB for $25/1.75l, heck, I would buy two. I priced the 1.75 here in louisville at $40/1.75. Right now in Louisville, they seem to be dumping WL Weller SR on the market at $22-23 /1.75l. I like that one fine at that price, smooth and easy like Makers at half the cost!
