Satty Beach wrote:{Bourbon Bunker Projekt} Old Heaven Hill BIB 100 proof 2x1 ltr, Old Taylor 6 1x750. I had to go looking for these. He also had dusty Old Charter 8 1.75 ltr old labels and JW Dant BIB 100 proof 1.75 PLASTIC. I'll have to wait to find a JW Dant in 750ml to try. I'll be back to clean out his Old Charter 8 stock though. For daily D&T {drinkin and thinkin} Old Forester 1.75, WL Weller special reserve 7 yo 1x750, Rebel Yell 1x750 {low ball experiment}

Projected future Bourbon Bunker Projekt needs; Beams choice, JTS Brown, Fighting Cock, Geo Dickel 8/12, more Old Charter, more Old Forester, Very Old Barton, Old Weller Antique, anything with "Old" in its name and 100 proof and not crap, Old Overholt as much as I can carry, more WL Weller special reserve. Plus appropriate "B" and "C" list Rums and scotchs and whiskeys for exampling.

Get some Cruzan rum, excellent rum at very reasonable prices. For a long time, I thought I hated rum, turns out, I hate Bacardi.

I couldn't find any of the new Bulleit Rye yet. I did find some Early Times 354 Bourbon. I will try allmost any straight whiskey I haven't tried before, as long as it's not crazy expensive. I like the medicinal whiskey style of package they went with. It would be nice to see a bonded version of this. I have had a cold, so I can't really give any tasting reviews at this time, maybe in a few days.

I went out yesterday and bought some Very Old Barton, Elijah Craig 12yo, Bulleit Rye, and Georgia Moon n a mason jar!

Tried the VOB last night, not bad. Will be opening the Bulleit Rye tonight.

Weller SR 7y/o and some Beam Black 8y/o. Both are quite nice. The Weller seems like a fine easy drinker for nice patio weather. The Beam black is fine too, with a modest rye kick.

I finally got to really try the Early Times 354. Overall I'd say it's pretty decent; reminds me of what you would get if you mixed Old Forester and Jack Daniels. It doesn't suffer from that thin body some 80 proof whiskies seem to have. In the future I would probably spend a buck or two more and get Old Forester Signature instead.

Finally ponied up for a bottle of Whistlepig last night, but I won't have it until Tuesday. Impatiently waiting.

A bottle of Heaven Hill's Fighting Cock and a bottle of Knob Creek. Two of my favorites that I must have on hand.

I brought home a few this week, I'm restocking the cabinet so to speek.

Elmer T Lee (quite underwhelmed by this one)
Johnnie Walker Swing
Johnnie Walk Gold.

I bought the most xpensive bottle of anything I have ever bought to celebrate the birth of my daughter.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label King George V Edition.

Finally bought a bottle of WTRB, and I'm sorry that I waited so long! To me it was very, very good and will become a regular pour in my rotation.

My Abraham Bowman rye was delivered from Party Source yesterday, and I have two bottles of Angel's Envy on the way....can't wait to try these!

Hang in there with the ETL. When I first tried it I was underwhelmed also, but it has really grown on me. My bottle has been open for a couple of months now and it has developed a complexity that I did not notice in the first couple of pours. Of course taste is subjective, but this has turned into a good pour for me.

I'll give another go or two and see where it goes. I have several fall backs just in case.
