Don't try to recreate the luv by purchasing a new bottle as it is absolute filth made by Jim Beam. It is the only bottle I had to throw out without finishing since getting interested in bourbon last year.

Birdo; I had been away from drinking ANY adult beverages since 2000. When I returned last year, I was not up to speed on all of the changes that had taken place since my absence. I went out and bought a bottle of OGD BIB. I knew right away something was TERRIBLY wrong. I gave the bottle away after one pour. I have since learned why it tasted so bad. The whore of distillers had obtained the brand. Ditto for Old Taylor {which had'nt tasted right since before I took my break}. I learned the fate of Stitzel-Weller as well. ALL BAD NEWS. Only good news was that Old Forester was still around, and still in the right hands. No more Bond & Lillard either. Seems like nothing worth a damn last for long. National Distillers were my favorite pours. Weller was a good one too. How I miss those pretty bottles, with the old looking labels and gold streaks going through the glass bottles. And what was inside.....now that was special!
