Bourbon Trip

Unread postby bluedog20175 » Fri Nov 05, 2010 7:46 pm

Gentlemen (and Ladies);

My best friend and I are taking a trip with the family to Lexington in a couple of weeks to visit the major distilleries and fill the back of my van with "samples" of our favorites.

What is your "don't miss" on the bourbon trail and what is the best of the distilleries as far as friendliness, tour quality and overall knowledge.

We want to take a side trip for the kids one day, so any suggestions for something kids would like?

Restaurants of note in or around Lexington?

Thanx

Woodford Reserve is a great tour, Buffalo Trace. Makers mark and four Roses are also very good.

Do the kids like horses? Take them to the Kentucky Horse Park.

Go to Eddie Montgomery's Steakhouse in Harrodsburg. Great stop in between Woodford and Makers.
