I just got back from doing the Bourbon Academy today. It was fun an informative as always. I am suprised at the number of repeat attendees. There were about six or eight returnees today and one couple are already planning on coming back again next year.

For those of you interested, we are going to do another Academy on June 25 of this year. It will be a little different in that the chef is going to do a cooking demostration at the end.

How do I find out about the next Bourbon Academy this summer and how to sign up for it? I checked the website, but there was no info.

Thanks, Mike

As a Kentuckian, I consider it my civic duty to drink Bourbon, smoke and bet the ponies. Its a tuff job, but someone has to do it...

Mike there are no summer classes, and never have been. Winter only. The classes for 2005 are over. Shoot for 2006. Go back and read this thread from the begining and you will see how this works.

Actually Linn, There is is going to be a summer Academy this year. Chris was telling me about it at the last Academy. It is going to be towards the end of June and they are going to add a cooking with bourbon class at the end. It should be a lot of fun. I am not sure when they are going to start advertising the event, but I assume after Derby is over. I hope this new twist has a larger draw than the attempt to do it on Friday. Great people for the Friday event, just not a lot of them which was a failure from Brown-Forman's point of view, but great experience for those who made it!
