Pebble-Ford 1949-1957 8 yr BIB
Nose:
Light earth and a touch of southern sweet tea. Not a Vintage Rye type tea but that sweet touch that you get with southern style sweet tea. There is a sense of fall weather in this glass with wet earth and fallen leafs.
This reminds me of the late 70s / early 80s Ancient Age bourbons. Very nice
Taste:
Sweat touches of a wheatear with some very soft spices of rye. There is a soft touch of butter / butter scotch here as it rolls around your tongue.
Finish
The rye is there first then the sweeter corn, but not hard spice, soft ryes. Long finish. The rye sits there much like that of the Van Winkle rye of today. Just beautiful.
Overall:
Very nice bourbon. Has some great attributes that you only find on these pre 80s bourbons.
