Post Christmas Get Together

John and Linda Lipman were in our area visiting relatives so we got together and had a wonderful afternoon, drinking "old" bourbons and ryes and some younger stuff. Thanks to Fricky for sharing his wonderful stash of whiskies with us. It's always nice to see Linda and John and Dave Ziegler.

A extinguished, er, I mean dIstinguished looking group ever there was one!! It is always enjoyable to see folks enjoying each one another's company.

BTW, Joe, does your tasting group still get together and do comparisons? I always enjoyed your tasting results. They helped to keep us all honest.

It is always a pleasure to spend time with bourbon enthusiasts. It is a particular pleasure to be able to spend time with John and Linda. They always have a few rare and unusual whiskies to share. The tastings and conversation are always interesting, informative, and enjoyable.

Yes Mike, we still get together for tastings, albeit not as much as we used to. The results are published on the "other site" because they have a "tasting results" forum on which to post the results.

What a awesome time it was meeting John and Linda it was like being with the Royalty of Bourbon meeting them and we sure talked a good bit about good Old Kinsey and Publicker. John also gave me a few wonderful gifts and a 3/4 full bottle of Hallers County Fair BIB 100 Proof Distilled 1948 Bottled 1953 one of the Years My Dad worked there He may have dumped the Barrels for that one and it was Distilled at Kinsey also! And in the end I liked The Hallers the Best of them all.

I hope to meet John and Linda again some time in the future and the Whiskeys He brought to test were as top of line as you could get!
The group of them are the Best Of The Best People and I was Honored to be with them at My Good Friend Chris's Resturant in Boyertown It is a neat place made up with pictures of just about every Old Time Rock group.
