I just recieved as a gift a bottle of michters single barrel 10 year old rye. I am right in thinking this is some of the rye fro lawrenceburg indiana? Good stuff wherever it came from.

I ain't that talented, plus I am running the still. However I will describe it. It is in a find oval bottle, green label with tan and red writing. Type it in on yahoo, and it will come up on chatham imports site. It tastes a lot like wild turkey, but I doubt it is.

It's highly likely that it's part of KBD's stock of 1980's Bernheim rye that filled several other labels as well. If so, the 10yo label is wildly underestimating it.

It does not say where it is from. I will bet it is from indiana. I do not know anything about their production methods, but this whiskey did not come off the still very high. In fact, I have a bottle of true michters rye that was made in the 60's, if this whiskey was 80 proof, they aould be so close in taste you probably could not tell the difference.

Maybe I am confused but wasn't it built in 1992? maybe he meant the early 90's.
