Great review from a feller who kens a thing or two about bourbon.

P.S. I think maybe I was around in that Spring of 1857, chasing wimmins, drinking whiskey, cheatin at cards, smoking seegars, telling lies, and arguing with dogs. Now, that Miss Butterstoch, she could bring a pot of water to a boil by jest settin it on her fullsome busom.

I now look forward to your review of the '08 B'day Bourbon, one I can't easily take apart (which makes it all the more interesting and challengin to moi).

You are very welcome, Brother Mike!

You always send me the very best bourbons to review, and I am humbled that you value my reviews so highly. I do my very best to offer reviews that are both accurate, and offer a twist of whimsey for the ammusement of the reader. Whiskey should be fun! Rather than try to wring every nuance out of every drop, I want to be laughing bourbon out of my nose whenever I press the submit button.

As for Miss Butterscotch, I do believe she booked passage on the Robert E. Lee bound for New Orleans. An engagement at the Sazerac House. A Mr. Handy will be playing backup for her vocal prowess.

The 2008 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon will require extra effort. A task for which I am well equiped. I might light the candles tomorrow.

Linn,
You do know that Stitzel-Weller used "A Whisper of Wheat" as an advertising slogan in the 1980s.
