Chet Zoeller's new book

Unread postby bourbonv » Fri May 08, 2009 9:30 am

Chet Zoeller's new book on bourbon distilleries of the past is now out. I received a copy the other day and I will review the book later, after I have had a chance to study it further. The book is very similar to Sam Cecil's book with distilleries arranged by district and county. It is a bit more complete than Sam's book, but I was dissappointed because Chet's publisher opted out on doing an index. Still, it seems well organized so finding a distillery wont be too hard.

I am chapter 7 of nine in the history book and just started with the first distillery, Four Roses, on the tasting book.

I need to look at Chet's book more closely. I have not had a lot of time lately. I took today off, but I am Meeting Julian Van Winkle at Stitzel-Weller today to taste some barrels. Tough job but someone has to do it.

There's just those thing you have to drag your self through no matter what. I should have it so rough.

Mr.Veach,
Would you care to share anything about your visit with Mr.Van Winkle?
I look forward to a signed copy of your book.
