Four Roses Cox's Creek Tour next Thurs.

Unread postby MikeK » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:30 am

All,

I've scheduled a small group tour of Four Roses' barrel warehousing facility at Cox's Creek KY next week on Thursday April 23rd at 9am. The roughly one hour tour will be given by the staff, likely Corey Ballard, the Director of Warehousing and Bottling. Jim Rutledge may make an appearance and give short talk, but he is very busy with Derby coming up and can't promise it.

I've got room for (5) more people, please PM me if you would like to join the group and can definitely be there shortly before 9am. First preference to people who have never visited this facility before.

Cox's Creek is about 20 minutes NW of Bardstown.

PM me if interested and available at that time.

Cheers,
Mike

OK, the tour is now open to anyone who wants to join us. I haven't gotten much interest, I guess most people aren't rolling into town until Friday or Saturday.

I agree with Jeff. Great tour and the sample of barrel proof Four Roses doesn't suck either.

Art and I had a great time at Four Roses. We got a nice tour around the facility, drank some whiskey out of the barrel. Jim Rutledge showed up and we chatted with him for about an hour. Then Jim got hungry so we followed him back into Bardstown and had lunch together at Kresso's. I got the hot brown. Yummie!
