American Owned Scotch Whiskies

Unread postby scotchdrinker » Mon Feb 16, 2009 1:05 pm

I was wondering if anyone out there knows of how many American companies/corporations own whiskies produced in Scotland? And if so what are the whiskies. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Laphroaig, The Dalmore, Ardmore are all owned by Fortune Brands, the owners of Jim Beam, based in Illinois.

Thank you all for your help and assistance. I have found a bunch of other American owned besides what I have found out on this forum. If you personally are interested in this information let me know and I will get it to you.
