The bottle states that this whiskey was made in 1995 and bottled in 2008. The neck tag states that this was bottled from a 62 barrel batch 95106 entered on the 6th floor of warehouse H on September 6, 1995, an upper floor with lots of heat in the summer.

Good notes, Mike. It would be interesting to do a vertical tasting of Birthday Bourbon. Has this ever been tried? I don't think so.

I ahve done a verticle tasting of the Birthday Bourbons. Since every year is chosen to bring out a different flavor aspect of Old forester, it makes for an interesting learning experience to examine the parts of the whole.
