Pen Bogert's Party

Unread postby bourbonv » Wed Sep 10, 2008 11:48 am

I am not sure who all is coming to the Bourbon Festival this year, but if you do, you are invited to Pen Bogert's house for our annual party. There will be plenty of food and bourbon and if I know Joe and Doug, cigars. The Bourbon Society folks and the Filson employees will be there. Joe, Doug and Chuck are also usually there so come on over and join us if you are in Bardstown. It will start at about 4:00 but I will not be there until after the auction at the Getz Museum. Pen lives at 201 S. First Street in Bardstown. This is almost across from the intersection with Fitch. It is easy to find and within walking distance of the Getz Museum, if you don't mind a 10 minute walk.

Just jump in the car and head Northeast. It beats sitting through the Hurricane.

Pen Bogert's Party

Attached are a few pictures taken during Pen Bogert's picnic held on Saturday, September 20. I had a great time. There was plenty of good food, bourbon, cigars, and friends.

Doug's photos tell it all. A great party. Thanks again to Pen Bogart and his lovely wife for hosting this and thanks to all who made us feel so at home. :urock:

Emily and I would also like to extend our thanks. Although our prior commitment to the Gala prevented us from staying long, the company and bourbon was wonderful.

It was a great time and Pen and Brenda are already planning next year's. I am sure it will be a good time with plenty of food, good bourbon and fine cigars.
