So I take it you did not like the Old Grand Dad from 1982. I know I have had several from that era that was quite good. Was the seal on your bottle tight? Was the whiskey cloudy? If so it may have gone bad and your best bet would be to dump it down the drain.

It is a shame if it has gone bad. The Old Grand Dad I have drank from that period was very fruity with cherries and date, rich with caramel and oak with a hint of cinnamon.

Thanks Mike - I agree. The OGD from that era was good stuff. Sounds like she had a bottle that was poorly stored. BB
