Good comments but I agree too with the previous review, i.e. some samples seem less rich. Overall it retains its profile, which would be the orange mentioned, herbs, vanilla notes. Occasionally it seems to reach for a deeper palate where you can get more aged notes (more char, or a violets-like taste). In general it is a solid whiskey, upper shelf in fact and a stand-by.
