Another question for you all:

Would you want to pay a couple dollars more to get BD and BE.com stickers (the logos) put onto the bottles? I am going to work with a sticker maker to get some prices. Will let you know.

How many stickers we talking? I work a lot with printers and know that stickers can be had fairly cheap! Typically 500-1000 custom stickers can be had for between $70-$100.

Check with the distillery, every barrel purchase I've been around had a sticker provided.

BourbonEnthusiast.com/BourbonDrinker.com Barrel Purchase

Unread postby BourbonDrinker » Wed Jun 11, 2008 11:38 pm

Guys-

As some of you may know, last weekend was the first (annual?) Bourbon Crusade.

10 members of BourbonDrinker.com, BourbonEnthusiast.com, and LochAndKey.com/Julio's Liquor descended upon Louisville and Buffalo Trace and sampled many barrels. Full pics and details in the BourbonDrinker.com 'Bourbon Crusade' forum.

http://www.bourbondrinker.com/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=80

Many fine bourbons were consumed, and the lucky recipients of the selected barrel bottlings will be in for a real treat when the bottles ship!

Enjoy.

I will need everyone to resend me your wish list. I know it has been 4-5 months since I put the original request out... I have some old requests, but I want to make sure everyone is thinking the same way now as then....

And as a side note, there is virtually unlimited amounts of everything less the PVW.... feel free to get as much as you want... and remember, these are all single barrel... very unusual for the PVW, RHFs and Baby Saz. Supposedly this is the first SB for the baby saz....

PVW 15yr- Limited amount available on this, Single Barrel
Baby Saz - SIngle Barrel
Eagle Rare - two single barrels (.375, 750 and 1.75s)
Buffalo Trace - single barrel (.375, 750, 1.75
Rock Hill Farms - single barrel

Do you have an estimated cost? Where is the retailer who will receive the whiskey? We would love to get in (if there's still room), but it would depend on how we could arrange to pick up our share. Thanks!

See my just posted review. The Pappy 15 is just a great bourbon.

A couple of months ago spun_cookie sent me an email asking if I would like him to reserve me a bottle of the Pappy 15 from the BE/BD barrel. I thought about it and realized it was too good to pass up, so I replied in the affirmative. I am so glad I did. The bottle came yesterday and is superb.

Thanks to spun_cookie for his thoughtfulness in reserving a bottle for me!!!
