Cogratulations to the Van Winkle Family

Unread postby bourbonv » Fri Dec 31, 2004 11:28 am

Julian Van Winkle came by the office to drop off a copy of Sally's book for me. He told me the great news that Preston is engaged and will be married next year. He adds this to the two daughters who are also getting married next year. I have posted this here instead of at the water cooler because this news is important to the bourbon industry. This helps assure there will always be a Van Winkle in the industry, bottling that wonderfull 10, 12, 15, 20 and 23 year old bourbon and 13 year old rye for us imbibers.

I say Congratulations Julian, Preston and others. Keep up the good work and let us hope the next generation is as talented as Julian and Preston.

Julian's marrying off a son and two daughters in the same year???
I married off ONE daughter in the "same year"... that's ENOUGH!!
Congratulations, Julian, on everyone's happiness. You have our (somewhat awe-struck) best wishes, of course.
And da Pappy will Pour.

But I do want to take this opportunity to extend our deepest sympathy for the upcoming total loss of your mind and sanity. Sometime after the third wedding has completed, we'd like to visit you at your new home, and maybe they'll let us take you out of the padded room for awhile and wheel you around the grounds to look at the birds and flowers.
