Which distillery distilled this barrel, and when?

Linn,
The whiskey was some Cream of Kentucky Rye bought from United Distiller. It was distilled in April of 83 and it was almost 23 years to the day when we sampled it during the Sampler. Cream of Kentucky was one of the brands that Schenley made a many different distilleries. I do believe that the whiskey in this particular consolidated barrel was made at Bernheim.

I do believe that it is all sold out. If not it will be at LeNell's Liquor store. I do believe she is going to pick a second barrel this year so you might want to contact her and see if she will sell you a bottle of that rye before it is all gone.

Red Hook Rye all gone

Unread postby scratchline » Mon Jan 29, 2007 8:00 pm

The Red Hook Rye lasted about two weeks. If you want in on a future barrel, call LeNell and get on the list. She'd love to hear from you. You can get on the email list and be updated on upcoming events and new products. Recently they got an unaged rye whiskey in.
