Interesting to compare the reviews of OF today and the one from Mike where a bottle of the same brand was sampled from the mid-60's.

There are a number of resemblances between the taste notes, especially the fruity quality. There are some differences, including the degree of vanilla and caramel sweet in the drink.

Mike has reminded me that in the late 50's-early 60's, entry levels were lower than today, so this may be one reason for the differences (it may explain e.g., the pepper notes in the older one).

However, the reference to well-seasoned wood in the '66 OF leads me to think the type of barrel wood used then may have been different, maybe first growth wood and older, I don't know.

However, I was very satisfied with the current OF 100.
