The Calvert Party Encyclopedia: Your Complete Guide to Home Entertaining, edited by Calvert Distillers Company. Calvert Distillers Company, United States, 1968. Contents, Illustrated, Index, pp.100.

This is a book to sell Calvert distilled spirits. Despite that fact it is still a very interesting paperback booklet filled with useful information. The majority of the book has drink recipes for using the Calvert products while entertaining guest. These are very standard cocktails for the most part including whiskey sours, mint juleps, martinis, and other such drinks. There are also more interesting chapters that include planning the party, picking the glassware, Food recipes, Ideas for party themes, party games and party humor. There are some fun hand drawn illustrations and of course full color advertisements for Calvert products such as Passport Scotch, Calvert Extra blended whiskey and Calvert Gin.

Every bar should have this book or another company's version of this book for their whiskey library. They are fun to read and can be a little dated but still useful when planning a party.
