Four Roses boat ride

Unread postby Bourbon HQ » Tue May 08, 2007 12:46 pm

The folks at Four Roses have done it again. They hosted the Mellow Moments club members for the great steamboat race on the Ohio river in Louisville as part of the Kentucky Derby festival. They had a portable bar set up for tasting and we had a great time.

Boat Ride

Unread postby ChuckMick » Thu May 10, 2007 7:18 am

Gayle,

So how was the event? It looks fantastic. Great pics. Whish I could have been there.

Four Roses has chosen a fantastic event during the Derby Festivities. What could be better than to take a cruise on the river in a paddle wheel ship and have Four Roses as the chosen drink?

"Run for the Roses" indeed!

Chuck, the event was great! Our hayride man was one of the bartenders. Jim was there talking to people. Julie was there. We sampled all their brands and the weather was good.

Thanks for the pics, Gayle, I always enjoy it when you post them.

By the way, Gayle, my wife and I are signing up for the 'Let's Talk Bourbon' at Four Roses on Friday, 9/14. Breakfast is served and I presume there is a tour of the distillery along with good information sessions. Will that fill up quickly? Should I go ahead and call for reservations now so as not to miss this event?

I want to go to Four Roses for two very good reasons. (1) You and others seem very impressed with the way they treat their customers, and (2) I love their Single Barrel Bourbon.

"Let's Talk Bourbon" at Four Roses is an excellent event. The food is good, the drinks are great, the presentation is terrific, the tour is thorough, and the tour guides are knowledgable. It is a haul from Bardstown, but well worth it.

Thanks, Chuck, I will call to reserve two places tomorrow. Since the WT distillery is in that general area, is it worth a visit?
