Bourbon Society President

Unread postby Bourbon HQ » Tue Feb 20, 2007 9:58 am

Last night at the monthly business meeting of The Bourbon Society here in Louisville, Mike Veach presented the first president, Dave Pape with a handmade whiskey decanter with his name and "1st president" engraved on it which was made by Martha Rosenfeld. (photo included). After the meeting, we all tasted a bourbon called "Texas Spirit" bourbon. It was an 80 proof bourbon.

Mike Veach is this year's president, which is why he is presenting the decanter to Dave.

For the record, I only won the election by one vote or else JD would have been presenting the award. Dave did an excellent job as the first President of The Bourbon Society. I hope this year turns out as well as last year.

Mark,
I wish you were closer as well. We would love to have you as a member. We are going to Four Roses this Saturday and we are going to taste both mash bills and all 5 yeast strains for a total of 10 whiskeys. It is going to be a great event. I am sure we will post some pictures afterwards.
