Bourbon Trail

Unread postby bourbonv » Sun Dec 03, 2006 1:50 pm

Today's Courier-Journal had an article discussing the Bourbon Trail promoted by the Kentucky Distillers Association and the fact that the Woodford Reserve Distillery would now become part of the Bourbon Trail. It touched on the fact that Brown-Forman was just coming back into the KDA which allows the inclusion of Woodford Reserve. A very interesting article - almost as interesting for what was not said as for what was said. They gloss over the reasons that Brown-Forman left the KDA by saying that they left because they "thought they could do as good of a job lobbying Frankfort with their own people". The article also mentioned that Brown-Forman was a big supporter of DISCUS and the Mt. Vernon project. It was an interesting article showing some of the politics of the distilling industry and even mentioned the Bourbon Trail in a few places.

Interesting that Barton, too, might add a visitors center and tours.
