Diary of WR Bourbon Academy and Distillery Tours

I finally finished up the "diary" of my trip to Kentucky this past spring. It contains pictures and a short review of each distillery tour, including Woodford Reserves Bourbon Academy.

I enjoyed your site, Mike! What are you using for a digi-cam, and what program are you using for post processing?

Mike,

Really, really nice web site! You've been doing this since '95? That's two years longer than me & the goddess! I really enjoyed your descriptions.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen, they are very much appreciated.

My current camera is a Nikon Coolpix 995, which was a fairly high end amateur digital camera when I got it about 4 years ago. Anything older than that is a scanned print from my trusty old Yashika FR-1. It used this quaint old stuff called film.

I use Paint Shop Pro for cropping and resizing. I rarely do any post processing, except for my astronomy pictures where I do heavy post processing with ImagesPlus, a specialized astronomy package. It is quite amazing to see a ball of fuzz turned into a wonderfully detailed picture of Saturn or Jupiter. (A good final image can take several hours behind the telescope followed by several hours at the computer.)

Cheers!
Mike

Excellent site. Really nice job!! Thank you!

Does anyone know when the next bourbon academy will be? I'm anxious to return and bring some friends along.
Thanks!

I finally received the date for the Academy for this year. It will be held on February 25 and March 25.
