The premier liquor and cocktail festival in America, the 11th annual Tales of the Cocktail runs from July 17th to 21st (or portions therof) way down yonder in lovely N'awlins, Loosyana (home o' them Cajun queens)
You can learn more at http://www.talesofthecocktail.com/
Many of our favorite bourbon whiskey distillers will be there. Not to mention absinthe, gin, tequila, rum, brandy, schnapps, bitters, and just about anything else you can put into a shaker or stirring glass.
I have never been there, but I'm going this year. At least Thursday to Sunday.
TomH is also going.
Are any more of us BourbonConfusiasts planning to go?

HEY Y'ALL...
What brands or bottlings of bourbon or rye whiskey can I find in N'Awlins that I can't get in Ohio/Kentucky?
Where's a good place to get them, near or in the French Quarter?

John, there is one big liquor store, the "Party Source" of the area, in the Quarter, the name escapes me for a moment but you will find it easily. I didn't find anything unusual when I was there but there may be some stuff now that you don't get locally, especially craft whiskeys, but perhaps e.g. certain Bowman iterations.

On Canal Street, pop into the all-purpose corner stores which sell everything from soup to nuts to liquor. I found ND OG and OT only 3 or 4 years ago, sitting high on the shelves behind the cashier. They are all over the place, walk into each one and you will find some old stuff I'm sure.
