Hello All,

A friend of mine grew up in Lexington, Kentucky and he was telling me about a distillery called James E. Pepper. After doing a little research online I found that they stopped making it in the 1960's but United Distilleries (I think) picked it up (in 1994) and is export only. I wondered in anyone had tried this, and what it tasted like. Also, I would be interested in any other information about this bourbon and its history.

Thanks! :D

When Veach was at United they briefly brought back the James E. Pepper brand for sale in the Czech Republic where, supposedly, it had been popular in the pre-Communist era. It was essentially Old Charter.

James E. Pepper was the son of Oscar Pepper.
