I agree that the current label is "not inspiring". The Mrs. is the desinger.

I see references to it being a young bourbon.
How long is it aged and in what conditions?
Warehouse, Barn, Indoors heated building?
Could you tell us a little more about the product and its life prior to the bottle?

I didn't mean to offend you by that, sorry.

I have heard several people describe it as "very Scotch-like without the peat". They are obviously picking up on all of the malted grains just like you are. I find it very interesting and like you I would like to taste a version that was 8 to 10 years old. A little more barrel flavor would be interesting with the strong grain flavors of this bourbon.

If it's "Scotch-like" I would probably like it . I live in Ohio... about a 4 hour drive to Cincinnati for me. Can I get this by mail or do I have to buy it directly from the premises?

I'm not sure it's sold in Ohio. The only store I know that had it was across the river in Northern Kentucky. If it is listed in Ohio, then any state liquor agency store should be able to get it for you. I also seem to recall that it was released in very small quantities and quickly sold out, although perhaps they have restocked the pipeline since then. I'm almost positive they cannot sell it directly, but they can certainly tell you if or where it's available.

Party Source, which is in N. KY, has been the main source and maybe the only source.

I know Don has placed some in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. You can also get them at his distillery. He opensd the tasting room on Saturdays. I talked to him on the telephone the other day and he told me that he is also doing a tasting in Bardstown on Friday of the Bourbon Festival. I plan on meeting him and his wife for lunch that day.
