Four Roses just released their 120th anniversary bottle, barrel strength, 12 years old, non chill filtered, 112.6 proof. It's around $65.00. It's absolutely wonderful! I think it's the best special expression they've done yet. The notes are:
Spicey and delicate, fruity flavors open with hints of nutmeg, vanilla toasted almonds, baked apples and pears. The long, smooth finish suggests caramel and choclolate. Truly a great limited edition. There were 2, 238 bottled.

I'm the happy owner of bottle #1439. We just got back from the FR distillery tour.
We followed the 'tour tastings' with our uncut Anniversary this afternoon.
DElicious!! Smooth, warm, rye spiciness, nutmeg, vanilla & toasted almonds.
If you like the single barrel(who doesn't?), this is a real treat.

Gayle, thanks for the notes, I'll have a few bottles of that in my hands tomorrow! 22 to be exact! Some of witch are the 7-1O
I believe the barrels will be 7-1A, B , C, D to O. 2283 bottles this time I think up from 1493 on the 40th. They're goal was 3000 but those old barrels were sharing a bit too much with the Angels!

Wow! That sounds fabulous! Doubt there is any way it will get to the great control state of VA via ABC. Does anybody know if it will get anywhere close to northwestern VA (WV, MD, PA, DE)? Unfortunately, we're pretty far from KY or even TN.

Tony, where are you able to buy this 120th? 22 bottles, wow. It's worth it. My bottle of 40th says they bottled 1442 bottles. But the 120th is definately my favorite.

Gayle, I have been doing business with the same guy for years and he hooks me up in times like these! I bought 30 but 8 were for a fellow Michigan Bourbon Hound! I'm sipping the 7-1O right now and I agree, it is my favorite even over the 40th. The balance of fruitiness and spice @ 112.6 proof is amazing the finish is very sweet with fruit (apple and golden raisins and I get a little vanilla) and rests on the very back of the tongue! This stuff explodes with flavor in the mouth I like it a lot!

The pears are definitely there... although I haven't found the baked apples yet.
This is seriously great whiskey!
Get some if you can or go hang around ACDetroit's house looking wistful and pathetic until me gives you a taste.

I like it, its good, but the 40th is still teh better on my shelf.. I think I need to taste more 120th barrels

I just saw 6 bottles of the 120th on the shelf at Beverage Wharehouse in Stonybrook this evening for anyone looking for it in the 'Ville. They are selling in the upper 60's. I forget which barrel they were from. They also had a bottle of Parker's heritage cask strength. I've got a couple of bottles of the 120th but haven't cracked into them yet.

The Parker was selling for $99. There was also a 16yr gold foil Hirsch for $299 or $399 I can't remember exactly. When prices get into the 3 figure range it all starts to run together.

Just got back from the Festival with a new Private Selection FRSB!
It clocks in at 57.5% or 115 proof.
Sipping Weller 12 right now putting off opening this until the right moment.
Jim Rutledge dropped in to Liquor World, Bardstown, to show it off and offer some samples of that already delicious regular FR Single Barrel and Small Batch.
(BTW, does FRSB stand for 'Single Barrel' or 'Small Batch'?).
