How many years ago did Benchmark lose its 8 yo age statement? Anybody know?

Benchmark lost the statement in 1999, IIRC.

The reason being that they were starting the BT line of bourbon. So, all the bourbon that would have gone to Benchmark was redirected and aged one more year to be BT.
