I received this email from Whisky Magazine with the winners of the World Whiskey Awards.

Dear Readers,

We are pleased to announce the final winners for the World Whiskies Awards 2007.

World's best whiskies honoured.
More than 150 whiskies, three rounds of judging and there can be only six ... we reveal the winners. The quest is a theme often found in literature and when we set off on our whisky quest the task facing us was almost as difficult as the old Holy Grail quests. However who better to saddle up and announce the best whiskies of the world than the team at Whisky Magazine....

My personal favorite from the blind tasting of the American Whiskeys was Jim Beam Black, which is very similar to the Baker's 107 in taste profile. I find Baker's a little hot and usually add a little water anyway, which means a prefer Jim Beam Black...
