Unread postby bourbonv » Sun Dec 03, 2006 11:00 am

In October I spent a Friday night with Heaven Hill at Proofs that ended with a verticle tasting of 10 years of Evan Williams Single Barrel from 1986 Vintage to the 1996 Vintage. I have finally worked out my internet problems and have time to post the tasting notes I made from that tasting. These are very quickly made tasting notes with very little real detail. Mike,

It's neat to see notes regarding the different vintages. Do you have any ranking as to your favorites, or least favorite?

Bob,
I do not believe in ranking bourbons because that would simply be my opinion and tastes. I do have a few that I did not care for - those are the ones that had a yeasty and doughy taste to them 1987 and 1990. I also did not care for the overly simple 1992. The reast were good bourbons in my opinion with none of them being a particular favorite.
