Help me out, USA doesn't even sell "Bonded".
Only in New Zealand?

It's a Kentucky whiskey, but we don't even get it, why?

There are different age or proof versions of bourbon brands that are made just for export. I think in the past (maybe 20 years ago) Jim Beam had a bonded version in the US, but now only as export? Knob Creek might be an option you could find.

I'll bet that product is now illegal in the USA because FDA banned products containing both alcohol and caffeine; ie Four Loco which is a high alcohol malt beverage with sugar, caffeine and health food supplements. Nothing like the Feds protecting us from ourselves.

I'm not sure where they're drawing the line. They left beer brewed with coffee and chocolate alone, it was only the brands that specifically add caffeine that were pulled.

The FDA drew a distinction between beverages to which caffeine is specifically added as an ingredient and beverages, such as a coffee liqueur or a bourbon and cola pre mix, in which the presence of caffeine is incidental. A cola doesn't have to contain caffeine, of course, and most contain very little. Jolt Cola was one that went to a higher dose of caffeine, bringing it up to about the caffeine in coffee.

I don't think there has been a Jim Beam bond sold in the U.S. probably since the 1960s. They make Old Bourbon Hollow, which is BIB, but it doesn't carry the Beam name.

Bourbon and Cola pre-mixes are very popular down under but they've never been popular in the U.S. because high taxes on spirits make them uncompetitive price-wise and restrictions on where spirits-based products may be sold put them at a distribution disadvantage compared to malt beverages. Instead of pre-mixes we have the flavored malt beverages, like Smirnoff Ice or Jack Daniel's Black Jack Cola, which are just flavored beer and contain no spirits.

I tried cola bonded. I spat it out. This sick unbalanced flavor.
I'm actualyy considering buying bonded 100 proof. I like white profile. light and refreshing and not toasty and you can taste the sour mash but it an't perfect. I can't drink it straight and the finish is not there.

bonded says no 12 formular so that white right? I can pour it down straight?

I tried a vintage white sample and it's like pine wood powder and so dump and clean and smooth and still light as a feather. you could breath that wood out you mouth and nose for 10 minutes.

alcohol and metal dont mix to me. but soda does taste better in a can than plastic. i think you should just buy a 12 pack and then a bottle of jim in a glass and not the Nyquil bottle they sell. itll save you money in the long run. just mix it yourself.

have you tried beam green or rye. need something light. I have rare bread but it too strong for me at the moment. Light, not too sharpe, and not keen on burnt wood flavors. To sip neat or on ice. Body can handle soft rink right now. I think green is charcoal mellowed.
