I rec'd this as a private message. First poster probably wanted it to go in a bourbon forum.

Certainly Four Roses in almost any expression, but, the higher the price, the better the whiskey. Old Weller Antique is another super bang for your bourbon dollar.

Hi all, new to the site as of just now
I'm huge Woodford Reserve fan and just recently picked up a bottle of Double Oaked, I'd highly recommend it. I'd also recommend glencarin glasses, they make a big difference.
Best Regards for the New Year

I bought a big bottle of Larceny a while back and it is pretty nice. I keep trying it to see if I like it and I do. not my favorite but glad I bought it. I slipped up and poured a BIG drink tonight . . . I have enjoyed it.

I've been hearing some pretty positive things about Larceny. The next time I get to Kentucky, I'm gonna get me a couple.

Joe,
I believe Larceny is well worth the price. It is not an outstanding bourbon, but it is a very good one and with the rebate, it runs about $15 a bottle here. Well worth picking up.

Seeing as it's my birthday (52nd year on this planet), I decided a healthy dose of the '10 version of Pappy 23 would fit the bill for the evening...

If I can find Larceny with the rebate tag I'll take it home.

I'm starting to get discouraged about Larceny, still not in the giant liquor mart or the small specialty stores I haunt.

Well put, Mike! Larceny is a good bourbon, no major flaws, but no significant awards either. It will soon be lost among its many peers. IMHO it is not the equal of Evan Williams Single Barrel, which may be a slightly higher price point.

This evening I am sipping a first rate vatting of 50% Hancock's President's Reserve and 50% Ridgemont Reserve 1792. Very rich, creamy, and delicious.
