the first, and only, bottle Ive had before was given to me as a gift. it SCREAMED WT rather than HH in profile. fortunately, I like WT 101, and this was like a 10 year WT101, which I liked.
This one is like a refined HH6BIB. sweet and smooth, all the rough edges rounded off the 6 year. I like, but dont love, the 6 year, though I love it for the price. this one is a 12 year old barrel, and really nice. I went back and got another one for the stash today, leaving 4 more on the shelf. their sale is on til nov 1, so, I may be back for more.
we're looking at moving soon, and the stash size is going to be realized once that time comes. may need a bigger garage!
on topic, enjoying a pour of HW double rye tonight. its obviously higher in percentage of the 2 year rye, but still pretty nice. Ive been on a rye kick lately.
