Just a traditional Old Fashioned... some Blantons, bitters and a little simple syrup.

A dram of Weller and a nip of JD. Can't remember the last time JD went into my glass.

ON EDIT: I looked through all of the reviews on JD. Lots of different impressions but the thing that jumps out at me is a hint of almonds. Not a bad experience all in all.

I'm currently nursing a bottle of Larceny. It was my first time dropping more than $20 on a bottle and have really enjoyed the first few pours. The prickly mouthfeel is awesome.

In about 6 months from now you will be looking at $20.00 bottles and thinking "wow, that's inexpensive".

Gonna pick up a couple Jim Beam Black Lables tonight. Next month the PA state store will have Evan Williams SB on sale. Making plans.

aint that the truth!

I started off with $10 bottles of HH BIB and KY tavern. I thought $20 was a bit much and thought the $40+ bottles on the shelf were just crazy. I cringed at my first (and only) purchase of $20-25 Bulleit. Now, my three most regular purchases are my three favorites:

#1: Dickel 9 year 103 proof at $46
#2: Bookers at $43
#3: HH 6 year BIB at $10.

each is different in its own way and all enjoyable, but prices vary wildly. Just dont make the assumption that price equals quality, and youll be waaaaay ahead in this game. Not considering prices, Id take my $10 #3 over anything else available other than my #2 and #3

i dont think JB DC is age stated, or 6 years old. Most people think its terrible, i think its mediocre, and I have a friend who thinks it and coke are great together. different strokes......

I'm in the "I think it's terrible" camp.
