Wow! Wathens as a chaser? You REALLY know how to enjoy fine bourbon!!

Of course I had to follow suit, just to see what it's like.
The WLW I have is 2000 release, and the Wathens is David Sherman/Luxco, but the concept is the same.
HolyMoly, Vince! That's one FINE combination of bourbon whiskies! :drunken:
Thanks for the suggestion! I really enjoyed it.

Glad you enhoyed it John. Have you tasted the newly released Old Medley 12 Year Old? Its the same mashbill as Wathens but far superior (in my opinion).

Trying JD Single Barrel...Not bad,but a bit pricey...

Probably finish it all up with some Jim Beam Black...

Jim's better than Jack..Pretty much all the time...

What is better: Old Grand Dad 100 or 114.
I've only had Frankfort 86 proof.
Prefer to get the 100. Don't want a Decanter bottle. But 114 reviews sound better.

My Last Bookers was flatter with a big alcohol tinge over any flavor. Was not like this years ago!

The 114 is delicious and the biggest bang for the buck, but you probably won't like it.

Handy Saz 127.5 proof (2008? I dunno) getting ready for this blizzard to knock power out so I can strum my mandolin in the dark with a good buzz.
