I was just flipping thru the channels and went to the Food Network. They had a Celebrity Food Finds episode on and the part I tuned into was about bourbon. Old Whiskey River and Willie Nelson to be exact. They were at Heaven Hill and described a bit about bourbon and how it is made. They also had Craig and Parker Beam talking some. They were at some bar and had these guys toasting with OWR saying it was the best they had ever had... Then some more stuff about the Texas Roadhouse chain of restaurants in the south and how OWR is their 'secret ingredient' in their BBQ sauce.
Anyways, just thought I would put this out there so if you see it in your tv guide or something check it out. I don't much care for Old Whiskey River but seeing places we know like HH and the Beam's made it nice to watch.

The one thing I will say for Willie and Shep Gordon (the impresario behind Whiskey River and Cabo Wabo Tequila, among other celebrity-linked products) is that they defied convention by actually revealing and paying tribute to the actual producers of the whiskey.
Willie probably didn't want the feds to think he was making it in his basement.
