Today, right here in Louisville, KY I was in a liquor store owned by a guy from Louisville, KY. I couldn't believe it when the owner, a guy from Louisvile, KY said "there's no bourbon made in Kentucky any more. It's only stored here so they can put the name Kentucky on it" I couldn't believe it! I wanted to slap him. But I didn't.. That's just an example of the mystery of bourbons to a lot of people. Anyone else have a similar story?

It just goes to show, just because someone owns a liquor store, it doesn't mean he/she knows anything about liquor. I was looking for a particular brand of rye whiskey at my local store. They didn't have it. The owner tried to tell me that Canadian whiskey is basically the same as rye whiskey, since they call it "rye" in Canada.
