No Bourbon

Unread postby BourbonDrinker » Mon Jul 09, 2007 9:15 am

I despise weekends when I'm too busy to sit down and drink a bourbon or two. Grumble, grumble. My new bottle of Russell's Reserve 101-proof is sitting on my shelf untouched. Grumble, grumble....

I worked 34 hours this weekend (Fri-Sun night)...yet I still found time on Sat around midnight to have a small pour of Weller 107. Small mind you...I had to be up at 7 a.m.

Tonight I swear.. Tonight... I shall finally try my Russell's Reserve 101-proof! I'm really looking forward to it!

If it's too late I try not to drink bourbon because it just makes me stupid , and causes me to fall asleep on the couch. I'm a bourbon before 10pm kind of guy.

Yeah Devin,
I mowed the lawn friday evening and I still found time to have a large pour Friday-Sunday night. Sounds like poor planning to me.

Wait a minute!!!! Saturday night I had a big old glass of Baker's 7-Year Old and it was superb! I was out at a wedding and had it BEFORE the wedding. I was the designated driver (for my pregnant wife---who couldn't drive because of hip pain), so I came home from the wedding stone sober... In my grief (from leaving a reception stone sober) I all but forgot that I drank beforehand!

Baker's was superb. It has quickly moved to the top of my must-buy list.
